Therapy Treatments

In addition to spinal and joint manipulation, we offer
various therapies which may be included in your treatment plan to aid in pain control and/or
the soft tissue healing process.

We have had very good results in our clinic when administering the following therapies:

  • Decompression – gentle relief for the neck and low back.
    • A potential surgical alternative that may improve the pain from pinched nerves:
      • Radiating pain or numbness in arms or legs from a bulging disc
      • Neck and low back pain related to degenerative disc disease
      • Sciatica
    • Most patients feel pain relief in as few as 6-10 treatments.
    • Along with decompression, other adjunctive therapies may be added to enhance the healing of the area followed my home exercises or in office therapeutic exercise sessions.

Weiss Chiropractic Decompression

  • Ultrasound – a pain free treatment used for over 50 years to enhance the recovery process. Ultrasound is commonly used for joint pain, the pain of inflammation from torn muscles, tendons or ligaments, sprains/strains, trigger points, scar sensitivity, tension and more. Ultrasound produces a deep penetrating heat thought to improve circulation to the soft tissues.
  • Electrical Muscle Stimulation – this therapy is taken up to your personal preference/tolerance for the relief of pain, reduction of muscle spasm, reduction or swelling, and increasing blood flow to promote healing.
  • Cold Laser also called Low Level Laser  a non-invasive and non-thermal therapy (unlike high intensity laser used in some surgical procedures). Cold laser uses photon energy, a compressed light from the red part of the light spectrum, which stimulates the underlying tissue and reduces inflammation. Cold Laser is thought to increase the cells metabolism which in turn means improved healing. It is meant to help the cells of the nerves, muscles, bone, ligaments, skin and tendons.
  • Weiss Therapy TreatmentsGraston Technique  – Instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization that enables clinicians to effectively break down scar tissue and fascial restrictions. Resolves chronic conditions thought to be permanent
