A healthy spine is key for a healthy body. We often forget about the importance of keeping our spine healthy until we start experiencing pain.

Maintaining a healthy spine isn’t achieved by chance or just by avoiding pain, it’s accomplished through proper movement and exercise. A combination of chiropractic manipulation, which provides spinal movement at specific levels, and proper exercise can work together to give your spine the mobility it needs.

Proper exercise is as simple as daily walks and light muscle building. Set a goal of 150 minutes of exercise each week, or about 20 minutes a day. Don’t worry about lifting heavy weights or running as fast as you can on a treadmill. Pair aerobic exercise, like walking, with gentle toning and strengthening exercises using your own body as resistance like yoga, floor exercises and isometric exercises.
